In what is the worst natural disaster to hit Asia since the tsunami of December 2004, Cyclone Nardis slammed into Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, over the weekend. Please give now to help CARE provide relief to thousands of survivors struggling in the aftermath of the storm.

Recent reports suggest the death toll from the storm and sea surge will exceed 25,000. Tens of thousands are missing, and the UN estimates that one million people have been left homeless. With roads destroyed and communications, including telephone lines and mobile phone networks, seriously damaged, it may take days before the full extent of the damage is known.

CARE has been working in the country for 14 years and is positioned to provide direct assistance to survivors in the hardest hit areas.
