MAKIN A DIFFERENCE! YEAH BABY!

so I was bitchin about the APD and how they've mishandled the case of my friend's murder. Well we all got to our computers and wrote emails to everyone we could find the address for. Mainly District Attorney, Chief of Police, County Attorney and the Mayor. When done emailing we all made calls to them as well. The media have been contacted and a website put up to show we're not backing down. And guess what???

OUR VOICES HAVE BEEN HEARD!!!!

The DA and the Chief of Police called the family yesterday and are turning it all over to the Grand Jury liason for review. The police chief is having the Commander review the investigators findings and his handling of the case thus far. We're SO much closer from keeping a murderer off the streets!

yes, I realize this isn't really a bitch, but I wanted everyone to know that a little ol fashioned letter writing can still make a huge difference. HUGE!!!

Even if you never knew her, a quick email to the DA would be most appreciated by all her friends and family. Just remind him that we are watching this case closely to make sure justice is served!

Isn't it great to finally know that our efforts aren't in vain? I mean, hell... I'm committed to writting & re-writting these emails for as long as it takes, but it sure does give a girl some peace of mind knowing that someone's actually listening to our bitchy asses!

Beautiful!!! This is such a prime example of people doing amazing things by actually "giving a damn"

Ladies, I will review the site and send an email later tonight.

Also, we are working on a "Betty Nation Foundation" fund for abused & battered women & children. We are in the very beginning stages. We'll be asking bitchy betty members to volunteer once a month at an organization or shelter nearest them and share some of the stories that they hear with the bb community and the rest of the World. More talk & awareness = more action. We'll also be brainstorming and reaching out to politicians etc in order to make some changes with legislation.

Lori Loo & I will be reaching out to all of you for some help very soon if you are interested.
