DOCTORS PRACTICING MEDICINE OR SOMETHING...

I've about had it with these hundreds of so-called doctors running around sucking up all my copays and insurance money and then telling me they can't help me. In the past 7 years I've seen more than 15 "specialists" regarding my issues, and more often than not, have gotten answers that amount to nothing more than a fancy blow-off.

"Perhaps you should see a Gastroenterologist" But I HAVE ALREADY!

"see a urologist about this problem" I've done that TOO

"I can't help you" NO SHIT

"My staff forgot to get the films, can we reschedule?" I live an hour and a half away cowboy, what do you think???

"I don't see this as an important problem" Well sir, I take that as an insult. I'm sure if the report were yours and it was your brain that showed white matter demyelinating disease that is cavitating, it WOULD be an important problem. I'm glad to know I'm so fuckin low on your priority list.

"Perhaps you should seek counseling" to which, purely out of reflex I jumped up to punch him. Thank the gods I had a friend there with me quick enough to stop me.

If it were just me noticing all these symptoms, it'd be one thing... I might even start doubting myself after all these kinds of comments. But it's not. My family, my friends, my co-workers, my regular doctors all see what I go through each day, and it just amazes us over and over to hear a doctor comment that he thinks it's nothing after having met me twice. I have all the symptoms of MS, and have for years. Now I even have 3 MRIs of my brain showing the damage, and yet it just doesn't seem clear to them. I'm not trying to diagnose myself, but SOMEBODY has to put this puzzle together, and so far, most of the people I've paid to help me do so haven't done shit.
