"After communications with Christine abruptly stopped during the week of the 20^th of April, family and friends began to grow concerned. A visit to Christine’s apartment Saturday afternoon aroused the family’s suspicions and police were called. Patrol officers entered the premises and confirmed the family’s worst fears. Officers and investigators did a cursory search of the premises. Quickly removing some of Christine’s personal articles from the immediate vicinity they made a hasty determination that the area no longer constituted a crime scene and promptly left. The next day the family returned to gather personal effects from the dwelling and discovered critical evidence that was left behind by the investigation. Detectives were again called and the evidence was removed. Later that evening the family returned with the intent of collecting more property to discover her estranged boyfriend barricaded inside the apartment. Police were called to the scene and after a brief scuffle he was arrested and transported on the charge of Criminal Trespass. Members of the family and friends returned on Monday to continue the cleaning of the apartment only to discover yet more evidence. Once again, investigators had to be called in to remove more evidence their brief investigation failed to secure
To date, no further evidence of a physical nature has been collected. It is the belief of the family and witnesses on the scene that the evidence accumulated thus far appears to be of such a nature as to imply that Christine’s death was the result of homicide."
