SAVE THE PEOPLE OF DARFUR!!!

Every day in Darfur, Sudan 500 people are being murdered, dismembered, systematically raped, and starved simply because of their race... These atrocities are taking place under the order of the Sudanese Government, who are getting funded almost directly by China.... The horrific Situation in Darfur has been taking place since 2003. In 2004 President Bush declared it genocide, and yet here it is, 5 years later and nothinf has been done to help these people. Aid isn't even able to get to the refugee camps because darfur is considered a "no fly" zone... 400,000 men woman and children dead, over a million have lost their homes, but the American public continue to turn a blind eye on the situation... These people have been abandoned... How as human beings can we continue to let this happen????? This is yet another reminder that people are suffering outside of our "perfect little world here".

I can't imagine a life where people are being systematically murdered and tortured on a daily basis.

I KNOW. I KNOW! BUT WHAT???

WHAT can this group do now? How I want to just GO there and help.. but, how can I help? I'll get slaughtered too. Am I weak? probably.

Like aronado, I too think on this once in awhile - and I feel f*ckin hopeless.

For example, here we are sitting safely in our homes or cafe wifi places b*tching about things we want to change ... meanwhile GENOCIDE is going on.

Gosh I'm pathetic.

What can we do now aside from spread awareness!

I KNOW!!! Let's all call for a MASSIVE STRIKE across ALL INDUSTRIES. We'll ONLY GO BACK TO WORK if all governments step in and clean up the mess. I'm up for it - but people won't do it because they need their jobs to support their families.

Yet, THEY are safe. People in Darfur are not.

It's all relative. Aughhhh...
