When you have to finish others tasks at work.

I am the kind of person organized. I like to prepare my space work to keep it clean, picking up as it goes to not having a bunch of work left at the end of my shift.

But when I come and have to pick up behind others. Cleaning their mess, and finishing their work because their shifts are done and they are just walking out to home. Some rules are there...

Why am I the only one to follow them? They make life easier for me, why not for them?

This is not to be politically correct. Just doing what need to be done.  But just to respect others.

Cause yes, I am telling them that I have to finish their job, and a little' help would be appreciate. Even the manager did.

Like Larry the cable guy say “- Git R done".

Pitches

Yeah, some people will just take take take. I'll bet if you "thank them" for the awesome mess they made, they will not know how to react.  Seriously, say it really nice and positive like "thank you so much for leaving this trash for me!"

Let me know how it works!

Thats a great idea! Or try " Hey guys, I was really bored and needed something to do. I was so glad that you left your work here for me to finish."

I tried a negative approach once that embarassed my co-workers. I hung a big sign over the trash can that said "TRASH CAN." It worked.

ugh, that happens to me all the time, try NOT doing their work or cleaning up their mess. When they realize they have double the work to do in one day they may start to take care of things themselves.

By finishing their work you are ALLOWING them to continue behaving like children.

Let them take it on the chin once or twice. Itll stop, I promise you that.
