Betty Nation
We are working on creating the bettyNation [foundation] for abused & battered women and children. We are in the very beginning stages. We'll be asking bitchybetty members to volunteer once a month at an organization or shelter nearest them (if they are able) and share some of the stories that they hear with the bb community and the rest of the World. More talk & awareness = more action. We'll also be brainstorming and reaching out to journalists, politicians, and others in order to make things happen.
Objectives:
- Help abused women & children have a new beginning
- Help with employment
- Help with housing
- Help with psychological issues
- Have our voices heard in congress for more strict punishment for offenders
Growing up in an abusive environment is not something that should be tolerated. It does not feel good to live in fear. My personal experience as a child is the motivation for creating this foundation. No one should live in fear!
