How do I get around the site?

Once you are logged in, just about everything you need will be on the left of the screen, this is your very own ‘betty remote.’

What do I do now that I’m here?

Three things: bitch, pitch and meet other betties.

Bitch: Have something on your mind? Let the the Betty community know about it! It could be a simple as the barista at Starbucks made a bad latte or as heavy as domestic and family violence issues. Get it off your chest and put it out there for your fellow betties to offer up solutions.

Pitch: Offer up solutions to your fellow betties bitches. A pitch is essentially a comment or response to a bitch, but it’s the key to the positive, world changing vibe at bitchy betty. We can’t make changes, if we don’t offer solutions.

betties: Betties are your friends! We’re here to support, commiserate and offer solutions when we can.

What's a tag?

Think of it like a personal category. While initially, you may be the only one (or one of a few) with that category; before you know it the tag grows and your personal category is shared with many other betties across this website.

What is the 'bitch box'?

It's our kick ass little widget. On the right side navigation, you’ll see the bitch box. Click “edit” in the corner. This will take you to a new screen where you can insert the subjects (tags) that are important to you.

If you always want to see the most recent bitches about 'politics' or 'economy' then you just enter those tags in and whamo! Your bitch box on the bitchy betty site will automatically update any time there’s a match for your tag/subject. Enter one tag at a time. Cool huh! Pretty soon, you'll be able to take your bitch box out to your blogs and other Social Networks such as MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, Hi5, etc.

What’s the point?

We want people to use bitchy betty to make changes in their world, no matter how large or how small.

Why do I have points? And how do I get more?

Everything you do on Bitchy Betty will earn points - from the time you register, to the pitches you give, and the bitches you post. The more you interact with the site the more points you will gain. So, what are points good for? FAME, FORTUNE, well no.... but it breaks down like this. bitchy betty will hold contests that are point based, the contests might be a week long, or last an entire year.

*When you sign up to Bitchy Betty we'll get you started with 50 points.
*When you post a bitch we'll give you 10 points
*When you post a pitch we'll give you 5 points, as well as give the original bitcher 5 points
*There might be some other hidden points as well, but we'll let you figure those out. We don't want to give everything away!
